9: Jr. Math

The last Famicom game of 1983. Given these first 9 games, I think this console wasn't such a great deal on the first year. 2 board games, 4 arcade ports, 2 educational games, and baseball. I dunno, you decide.

Oh boy. Only 8 in and we already have our first sport game. I don't mind baseball as much, though. I've seen Japanese baseball games, it looks like a fun thing to go to. Also, despite my diet, I still really like hot dogs.

7: Popeye no Eigo Asobi

I guess they repurposed the arcade game to teach English. Out of all the characters to use, did they have to choose Sometimes even I can't understand what he's saying. I didn't draw him because I already drew him once for this.

I'm not a fan of doing multiple drawings of the same character while making this, so I have to carefully select which character represents which game. Without spoiling future drawings, just know this was the best choice for

Heads up: Just looking for the word "Mahjong" in a list of Famicom games gives 17 results. The word Mario gives 9 results. Mahjong makes up more than 1% of all licensed Famicom games...why?
