I learned an important lesson this year about getting approval before starting a piece. Now every commission starts with 4 (2 inch) sketches for review and selection. I never know which one will catch someone's eye but I try to do poses or compositions that will all work well.

'Zeta era' aka 1985 - 1987 more or less post Giant Gorg. Its a broad term I use when talking about Yas' art style as a lot of his illustrations carry this same weight and design philosophy, mostly in color, composition, etc. and can easily be identified as mid 80s
