Creepy demon babies turned up on a lot of House of Mystery covers in the 70s. Is Rosemary’s Baby to blame? Whatever the reason, such stories have always appealed to me, ever since I read Ray Bradbury’s The Small Assassin as a kid 😈

Born on this day in 1939, the late comic book artist Herb Trimpe became a familiar fixture to readers of Marvel Comics in the 1960s, 70s, and 80s thanks in large part to his long run on 'The Incredible Hulk.'

Thanks a lot! I think I'll do it too on my profile!😁

I'm Fox Popvli, a digital artist specialized in anthropomorphic animals, pinups and vintage themed pictures! 70s/80s japanese animation is one of my main inspirations.

Have some sample!

In the 70s/80s I read the Marvel comics, he's as much a part of pop culture as Sherlock Holmes, Tarzan, Batman or King Kong...

In the ‘60s and early ‘70s, were the heroes’ civilian identities more mature, sophisticated, and refined? Times and styles change for sure but were the heroes more “adult” then? Were they less so as the Bronze Age evolved? How about now? Is it a reflection of how we see heroes?

Lupin the 3rd was an adult-comedy James Bond-esque heist series from the late 70s. All the cool gadgets, stunts, etc.

I highly recommend watching "The Castle of Cagliostro" (1979). It is one of the best Lupin stories ever, and it was Hayao Miyazaki's first movie he directed!

Congratulations to the Champion of the 1980s: ROGUE! What a list: Lockheed. Siryn. Emma. Kitty. Dark Phoenix. She defeated them all. Nice work, Sugah! (Oh, and Kitty snagged the 3rd place win) Thanks to everyone who voted! 70s or 00s bracket next? 🤔

tall boots? floral skirts? absolutely 🔮
stevie’s my biggest inspiration for auburn when it comes to style — her looks in the 70s are what i aim for (especially the more casual, earthier looks), but i’d love to really indulge and deck her out in the true white witch garb
