I realized I've never used the blur tool for blending so I tried and it's actually good for blending. Then I also tried using gradient maps to color but it didn't turned out like I wanted so I ended up using overlay to add different hues to specific areas.

I'm trying that technique where you draw the shading before your create the color layer as an overlay... and it works really well!
It does have a tendency to either look too gray, or 'dynamic', but I think it can be solved with manipulating the shade layer😉
