This is one of the worst mainstream comics I have ever read, in terms of sheer awful implications.
Every time I think about it I feel a distinct feeling of frustration.
July 24, 1860: Czech painter and illustrator Alphonse Mucha is born.
Mucha's gorgeous Art Nouveau designs, with their lovely ladies and colourful flourishes, were a staple of the advertising world. His distinctive style is instantly recognizable.
🎨 "The Four Seasons" 🌷☀️🍂❄️
‘Walpole, for all his talents, was one of the vainest, most self-satisfied and sneering individuals of the entire eighteenth century- quite a distinction, given the competition’ (J. Riding, ‘Hogarth Life in Progress, 2021). Hardly surprising given his Hanoverian-loving father!
‘The Planets’
I tried to give each planet a unique and distinct personality.
Mercury is brave, Venus is gentle, Earth is warm and Mars is strong.
They were inspired by art nouveau (I really love giving my portraits halos).

@LivingScribe Well.... when you can mod the hell out of it so can play a distinct character type, or create custom followers, you're bound to get a lot of mileage out of it.
V; ♌ 🦁 ☀️
After brooding Cancer comes Leo, with much fanfare. The presence of a Leo is distinct, their personalities shine as brightly as the Sun that rules them. Just remember the tale of Icarus - the Sun is only tolerable under specific conditions.

Gleamy Dreams (@GleamyD) has made about 50 pins in their distinctive style with broad faces and big eyes. This includes the Mane 6, the Pie sisters, G5 heroes, background characters, and kirins. Lots and lots of kirins. Plenty of Fluttershys too!

Day Seventeen – Horn Shark
With their distinctive facial ridges, Horn sharks are easy to identify.
Here are some facts about Horn Sharks!
Baja Gryphon (@BajaGryphon) has produced over a dozen MLP pins (plus several more with their OC by others): Mailmare Derpy, Trans Trixie, Rainbow in a Jar, a Celestia bust, and a Student 6 series! I think the eyes are their most distinctive feature.

Thicclord (@lumithekirin) has made a few different series of pins in their distinctive style: the Mane 6 as crystal ponies, fan-favorite ships reimagined as Disney couples, 2 large dual-princess pins (Celly-Luna & Cade-Twi), and a handful of others.

Patrick's distinctive style of incompleteness is his way to interact with people who see his work, by giving them enough information sets them free to fill the blank parts.
[Untitled Charcoal, 2020 by Patrick Palmer]
KindaKismet (@KindaKismet) produced a cute Fluttershy pin and took part in a group pin project where she designed an Applejack pin. The eyes designs are quite distinctive!

I have never understood memes like this. how it's framed as some kind of "gotcha." bro, you're purposefully writing in the style of popular characters with distinct ways of speaking OVER PICTURES of them, of COURSE i'm reading it in their voices!! Nothing fascinating here at all.
#cryptoart by @ArnondHnusorn - v distinctive, fresh style.
@pixellitist owns one, great prices, even on secondary

Kurt Busiek draws an important distinction between #Immortus’ and #Kang. 1st brings figures from other times to do his work for him, and the 2nd uses technology from the future to personally fight his battles. This distinction goes back to the 1960s. #Avengers Forever 1, 1998.

@KyleKayhos Man, that's a toughie. I sometimes find myself doubting whether an artwork is going to turn out well in the end, but here are a couple artworks where I feel I really *nailed* the concept I was going for-- while also being pretty distinct!
And yet, I still have a long way to go.
