Kurt Busiek draws an important distinction between #Immortus’ and #Kang. 1st brings figures from other times to do his work for him, and the 2nd uses technology from the future to personally fight his battles. This distinction goes back to the 1960s. #Avengers Forever 1, 1998.

The MCU's take on Kang is INCREDIBLY interesting because he's basically 3 characters.
Immortus, He Who Remains, and Kang the Conqerour.
Nathaniel Richards basically became Immortus and He Who Remains, and his dangerous variants were ALL Kang.
That moment when you see #Kang trending and you immediately remember Kang the Conqueror was also Immortus, Rama-Tut, and the Scarlet Centurion in those Silver Age Marvel Comics stories.
