And even movies with more "realistic proportions" like these still exude so much style and personality. The closer you get to realism, the more you loose that charm and cause the CG medium to go stale. You never want that. It's not as impressive as you think it is.

TP's NPCs were also so full of personality. The artists used both more realistic proportions and very cartoony shapes (look how fun this old guy looks!). Somehow it didn't look weird or out of place. The not so saturated colors keep it on the same mood
