I have a suspicion as to why there's so many ugly characters in jojolion. I know Araki isn't "online" but I'm guessing that someone pointed out the "sameface" syndrome from late SBR and so to diferentiate and explore realism, Araki drew more rough looking characters.

Okay after smashing my head against the wall today I came out with this portrait. 1st attempt vs 2nd attempt.
I feel I was trying to hard for realism with the first attempt and it just felt off. The 2nd attempt was more my comfort zone style.
