Dazzle, unlike "blending in" of crypsis camouflage, credited to zoologist John Kerr, used contrasting colours & stripes to mask size, speed and shape of machines at sea (be it planes or ships). Despite popularity in 1910s, it is unknown if the paint patterns actually worked well.

Omg, I found out on my phone the blending of the highlight on the cheeks plus the shadow along the hairline looks utterly awful. Had to go back and blend more 😭 Argh! Just show me the same on all my displays!!

I drew Snarts (hopefully I got the name of this OC correct) which belongs to that has a Black Widow Spider on her shoulder inspired by Widowmaker's newest highlight intro. I know it's mirrored but due to color blending together, didn't want to take that chance. 🕷️🕸️
