The big question that I always ask myself is this... "Would this look figure-able?"

With the more recent redesign of Nelly being more muscular and short. I believe her design is awesome although I feel like her hair fell behind a bit. So I tried a little experimentation in a different style and adapted it to FFC comic style. I would love to hear what you think

Finished another commission for HyperDragoonHX on dA who wanted me to draw a bit-beast from Beyblade but with different colours due to experimentations.

Also fun fact, in the Swedish dub so are they called totems instead of bit-beasts.

Add sharp or rounder edges and random/neater alignment with the fur sort like this? Obviously it might not work for everyone but experimentation with the a variety of shapes of everything helps for any style! Good luck buddy, I hope I didn’t sound too harsh ah

Again, Taku Iwasaki seamlessly blends completely different genres. If Gurren Lagann's is "epic," Soul Eater's is "cool." His experimentation is so interesting. Tons of hip-hop and rock but also classical horror to even glitch.
