Perfectly happy with being in the minority of opinion here, but I LOVE the 3D low-poly models w/ pixel textures or sprites in 3D space like the PS1 much more than realism or even toon-shading on some occasions. It just feels perfectly "video-gamey" & there's lot to explore w/ it.

I at least intimated this in SCROLL 09 but its low-poly aesthetic is so good. The way they used colors for the day-night cycle really enhanced the beauty of it, not unlike III and IV did in 2D.

(my old PS1 screens out of laziness lol)
