Up until now, the fins have been pretty simple. When you're using flat planes like this it helps to distort them in some way so no matter what their rotation is, they're always at least slightly visible.

one really cool thing i have noticed about big man is that the tips of his fins do appear to change color like how all the other idols change their ink color , really hard to see in the first picture but they are infact slightly green at the ends :]
