Fighting-type teddiursa may be based on a training dummy, but its no pushover. Its body can absorb attacks and dish out powerful counterattacks. Despite this, this species only fights in self-defense, and has a more cuddly personality around those it trusts

In Japanese and Korean versions, Phanpy is exclusive to Pokemon Silver while Teddiursa is exclusive to Pokemon Gold. They would swap places in the international versions of the games

Pokemon HeartGold and SoulSilver would use the international version exclusives for all regions.
