@desuusagi_ @DisneyAPromos Agreed, whilst I'm not against CG, they just don't have the nuances and that made classic animation great. When I saw the concept art for Kung Fu Panda I just wish they brought those to life in 2d rather than CG (even though it was a good film).

So the focus of this blog was to show how the many different branches of the series by the many different companies and staff (From Bandai, Shueisha, Toei, and more) understood the series, it really isn't as solid as some fans think that it's, it's much more nuanced.
The New Mutants bring even more nuance to this concept with young heroes living an idyllic life in a mansion with their own superpowers, but Berto’s anger lingers, as does Sam’s complex, as does Rahne’s generational trauma and bigotry, as does Magik’s….everything. 6/8

At the heart of the complaint is that there just seems to be A LOT of the same sort of media being made and there isn't much nuance to their characters and how valuable they are to our media umbrella.
There are too many shows TRYING to be the next Family Guy and it's exhausting.
And this point is NUANCED! A character can have ups and downs in a single episode.
I think the cynicism works best when you give a downer character a moment of joy and hope and they get to have it, and enjoy it.
They know the world is bleak, give them something nice for once.
