Ok, i hate pulling these old photos out, but I hated the design for Narec at first, it was basic, boring, but as he grew and I saw where he was headed as a character I could slowly refine that each time till I got to this final concept. Its ok to not get it right the first time.

The Hero Star, Little Li Guang from SHSS.
The sprite always looked a bit uncanny to me, don't know if it's the empty eyes and lack of ears or if because the pose was edited from a Patamon artwork.
But a rodent that shoots stingers from a crossbow-tail is a cool monster concept.
