The thing with painting greyscale is that I can go back to old works and recolor them.
I designed a draft for our 3D artist to model. After a few iterations, we came to this design. It was important to scale the eyeball according to the tower.

Interestingly, even after spending more time using pure paint as opposed to my initial technique of starting with grayscale and converting to color, the results are alarmingly similar save for better control over colors and natural brush textures. What do you think though?
