I didn't mind Valentine's run. The tone wasn't as fun as it should've been. But The New 52 diminished Selina's altruism, love story with Bruce, & never gave her a decent supporting character. The mob boss storyline gave the book focus, and provided a glimmer of hope.

Why is Idum in mourning? Well that would be due to the death of his mate & Saoirse's mother, Deidra, the Dragon of Hope. Initially she was able to quell his chaotic nature & the only one able to stand up to him. But with her passing, things have not been the same.
