MGS1の頃の新川さんのイラストは骨格のようにソリッドは赤の、リキッドは青の線が描かれていました。
この特徴ある骨格の線はMGS2以降には引き継がれなかったのですが先のオタコンのイラストにはラインがあったのでMGS1制作中に描かれたイラストだと認識しています
