Wendy Keys' 2008 documentary on Milton Glaser is a superb introduction to the man and his work. It's available from @KinoLorber and you can watch it now on KinoNow: https://t.co/MUfYvn2Ew4

Today I woke to discover that a huge influence on my art died today #MiltonGlaser. A modern master that left an indelible mark on just about everything he did.
So for a little change of pace, here is a piece I did (over ten plus years ago) influenced by the man himself. RIP.
RIP Milton Glaser, a true original. Poster designed by Woody Pirtle in 1985 as a parody of Milton's famous Dylan poster, for a lecture Milton was giving on “Inspiration, Influence and Plagiarism” at @the_DSVC. (Woody joined Pentagram as a partner 3 years later.)

A poor riff on his iconic Dylan poster. But I had to make something. Even before I knew I wanted to be a graphic designer, I knew his work.
Every time this designer dares to illustrate, I think to myself, if #MiltonGlaser can do it, maybe so can I.

Thank you Milton Glaser. 💔 26th portrait of my James Harden series is a homage to his legendary Bob Dylan artwork.
RIP #MiltonGlaser. His work has made ripples in our industry for decades: “I ❤️ NY”, New Yorker mag pieces, and famous cover art for Stevie Wonder, Bob Dylan, and Aretha Franklin...not to mention work to support social issues & justice.
Thank you for all your creativity, Milton.

Algumas de suas criações mais memoráveis
Remembering Milton Glaser, I focus on his far darker artistic designs for @WHO, working with Jonathan Mann to draw attention — in evocative imagery — to the rising threat of #AIDS among #LGBTQ populations.
How can health imagery better frame human rights?
