It's crazy how we can improve in a short period of time. After drawing Shifu for the 2nd time, I've realised how much I could improve in 1 year. That's why I always say, no matter how unsatisfied you are with the result of something, if you practise a lot you'll always be better

These are Fraktur, a highly elaborate illuminated folk graphics practised by the Pennsylvania Dutch and Germans between 1740-1860. Often used on birth certificates, love tokens or blessings. One common motif are distelfinks, or stylised goldfinches.
