It's simply the fact that I want to hope. We have good bipedal starters who still look like fierce beasts. But we also have amazing quadruped starters. And none of them look like people in costumes. (Blaziken maybe, but it never has to me so I've never been bothered).

here's my gripe with Delphox: It's concept art, design, stature, etc is gorgeous! I actually really like Delphox and I think a lot of its original design is lost in later iterations since they draw it with human anatomy instead of making it a bipedal fox.
