I got a neat book detailing some of the multitude of Africa’s textile history across its regions. The trousers are based off trousers commonly worn by the Dorze People in Southern Ethiopia. Typically reserved for those that killed in battle, now used as general ceremonial gear.

The ancient name of Africa was Alkebulan. Alkebu-lan “mother of mankind” or “garden of Eden”.” Alkebulan is the oldest and the only word of indigenous origin. It was used by the Moors,Nubians, Numidians,Khart-Haddans (Carthagenians) and Ethiopians.
