It's bones are as fragile as sticks so they use their see-through skin to scare away foes. You can always see their latest meal.
And here's an alternative color scheme with turquoise instead of green, both to make it look less Grass-type-ish and as a nod to Xiuhcoatl, the fiery "turquoise serpent" from Aztec mythology.

First revealed when Gold & Silver's 1997 demo leaked in 2018, Monja was a Grass-type Pokemon once meant to evolve into Tangela at level 22... but he didn't make Gen 2's final cut.

Milo's league number in goroawase can be spelled as the Japanese word, Yasai (野菜). This roughly translates to the English word, vegetables. This is both a reference to his grass-type specialty and his history of being a farmer.
831 is also Wooloo's National Pokedex Number.
As for Grass-types, they're...plants. Many Grass-types are literally just fruit, or otherwise fruit-producing. However, there are also plenty of Grass-types who are not recommended for human consumption. You wouldn't eat leaves off a shrubbery.
