I think its trying to depicting the marines like the imperium might try to portray them, but because the current art has to be 100% on model, it can be hard to add the extra grotesque or extra satirical elements.

its a lot better when they have more freedom

Day 18 'horror'

I know this doesn't look like traditional horror stuff, but the Imperium is pretty spooky.
Huxley hurt a demon for absolutely no reason and Lasko is terrifyingly calm and manipulative.
I have a lot of feelings about this AU, they're usually very sweet in canon xD
