fully rendered an animatic shot from a while back 2nd image is with gaussian blur on the lines (ill be using this technique for future comic updates ;D )

practiced airbrush blending and thinner lines + gaussian blur, definitely my best piece so far. nenechi~

Fun tip for those who want a more photo feeling background, just gaussian blur your rough painting!

I do this a lot and it makes these super fun!

I almost didn’t finish this one just because I was too lazy to render it, but gaussian blur helped me one more time 😂
I used to hate using purple in my illustrations but now I can’t stop, I literally changed all the green to purple really quick

There’s a slight color difference between the two with and without the 2nd copied lineart layer :D

I sometimes lightly use Gaussian blur on my colored layer so my lineart appears to look more smooth!! :)

Hope this helps! 💖✨

Plenty sure there’s other ways but this is my way!

well umm I use Firealpaca. but this is how I do it. first off I start with a base color, then I go up to the upper bare and tap on Select, then I tap on Gaussian Blur, I blur the base color a bit. after that I duplicate the blurred base color and drag it under the +

somewhat quality export, since original drawing was import. 8hours post import condensed. i’ll get the hang of it eventually! neat gaussian blur trick i learned recently n used for the first time here i’m really happy with though i need to work out procreate fill tool nuance

I tried doing one of those sketch->comparison thingies and realized I spent an hour on the stained glass bg before I ended up using the gaussian blur on it anyways KUFHSDKJFJSEKFIJSIFJDIGJ

The line may look a bit different from what i do cause i added a copy of the lineart with gaussian effect. Here are the ones without the effect, tho now im looking at it is kinda hard to tell lol

use a base colour for the eyes, create 3 clipping masks, you set the bottom one to linear dodge, the top one to multiply, and the last one to normal, and then you Gaussian blur so that they blend together, and then you draw a light point, duplicate it, and then blur one of them.

I'm like 90% sure "more" isn't likely right but, y'know, lol.

I exported the lineart to GIMP and did a 16px Gaussian blur. Perhaps a bit excessive.

Tried half the blur amount and actually maybe this ain't a bad trick??

Messy lineart, sketch borne techniques, slight anime artstyle, bloom, gradients, and gaussian blur

Looking at my art I immediately thought of rice, caviar, and salmon

technical makes me horny😋
-books on luminosity mode over randomly stroke painted bg
-noise on top of everything in overlay mode 30-40% depending on the noise strength
-gaussian blur yes! hand painted not radial 😋
-also a touch of chromatic aberration on top
twits are short!
