@sakenohime Idea came from finding this drawing again. She’s growing comfortable feeling cute in sundresses, but trying to be a bit fancy/formal - the aim was technically a nice dress for visiting low-level nobles, not fancy balls - is out of her range of expertise.

@sakenohime She’s a medic, so caring/sweet, but also awkward/anxious, as she grew up sheltered and hadn’t really spent time around her age until now, she 24. The dress is a reach for someone moving from gardening clothes to sundresses to grabbing a flashy equivalent of his vest on a whim.

I legit woke up this day and thought "I wanna draw Makima in a sundress" so I did! There's something beautiful and freeform about sundresses, especially when paired with a beach backdrop. Makima has been to a beach in the manga, though it was for work.
