Can someone who's smarter than I am teach me how to change the frequency of a waveform along a gradient like this? For the life of me, I can't figure it out. All I can find is how to change amplitude along a gradient using warp in would work too.

i drew many blobs and then i duplicated the layer but made it blurry (also added a gradient so it went from bright to dark) and changed the layer mode to add
then i went back to the blob layer and used a v v light air brush to draw back over them so that the front ones glow more
