Here you can see a consistent line where the shading has a blur filter applied, and because a simple line is easier to animate and keep track of than manual airbrushing, if you keep the Gaussian blur value consistent then each frame's gradient will be consistent too

Found some free time and I decided to finish this up!! Not only I am learning a new art style, I’m also currently learning what filter styles I’m going to use~
