Spooky Spotlight
Insects are another species often found in the UW, and like REAL insects, are so diverse it's hard to even properly describe them as a whole.
Fun Fact: Spiders aren't technically Insects in Real Life.
This isn't Real Life.

[insects, bugs] There are some examples of my art in the doc too, but here's some past commissions as well! (They were all character bust commissions, specifically, but I'm not strictly offering busts this time around.)

Please let your Dandelions grow and bloom! Where else are the Dandelion Dragons supposed to hide? :( They need them just as much as the bees and insects in your garden do, so please let them bloom ☺️🐝🐉🐞

day 12! This is a Bretulbee. Hand-sized bioluminescent insects, they burrow in soft soil and eat things such as ants and worms. Their unblinking gaze unsettles would-be predators. Eerily resilient. I hate them.

Made a new character for myself in between commissions! Meet Casper (Cass for short) They/she is a bug collector! They get really emotional about insects and smell like moss, soil and pine needles

So we know Shu's/Valkyrie's motif are roses and Mika's is now a butterfly.

Butterflies and other insects pollinate flowers. By transfering pollen they help with the reproduction of seeds and offspring, making more flowers. Is this hinting at Mika being Valkyrie's "butterfly"?

マンマルコガネできました😊　下のシークバーでアニメストップできます。動かすと重くなるかと思ったけどそんなことなかったな。これで変形昆虫アップできるぜ！
Now I can upload transforming insects as well, so add more in the future!

Drew a little dragonfly. =p I love dragonflies. They are so tiny, pretty, and shiny.

Did you know that many bees (and other insects) have vivid and stable color patterns hidden in their wings? These "wing interference patterns" can be seen against a dark background or with a special lens.

Here is a wing under normal light, and then viewed with a polarized lens.

17:00- Lots of insects hide away when the weather is bad. Not this lady though, she doesn’t mind a spot of rain ☔️

On the 37th day sharing my art, we climb the gargantuan, mutated branches of the 'Chimeric Forest'. Sapient triple-headed insects make this place their home, creating bubbles within which the raw stuff of probability pops in and out of existence.
