Medusa was beheaded by Perseus, who thereafter used her head to turn onlookers to stone. Later on, he gave Medusa's head to the goddess Athena to place it on her shield. In classical antiquity, the image of the head of Medusa appeared in the Gorgoneion amulet.

The smallest things can make someone happy.
For him, it's listening to a familiar tone.

I read that using a low opacity overlay of a picture of jelly beans helps create those super subtle variations in skin tone. It's really handy! (On the right you can see the overlay. In the left it's blended into the final result. No more candy, just a subtle range of tones)

I'm still thinking of artists with wildly varying discographies, who had good success in each of them. Gene McDaniels and Scott Walker come to mind as having had a radical drift after the 60s, but i don't think either had enough success to be a touchstone.

Current W.I.P video of what I'm doing for a D.I.Y.S. challenge. Painting shadows with red and layering in skin tone. Been working with this technique for a while and I think it really works well though being a bit time consuming. Will post final results with the challenge.

I wanted to apologize for the previous drawing Catra, I genuinely did not mean to offend and it was a mistake. I've re-coloured Catra to more fit her canon skin tone.

I'd say the same also applies to how I draw myself. In Venezuela I am considered white, but I went full American white, and now I draw myself more accurately, with the Venezuelan tone.

I'm doing a challenge for the next two months so I can make more finished and polished pieces, and I'd received a commission while this was going on, so with the permission of the client I killed two projects with one stone. Please feel free to critique.
