Hey everyone! Wanted to give a 🍫 CHOCDATE 🍫 (an update on BitterSweet!). We're moving forward on getting the chocolate cards together, and I wanted to show off some of the designs we're using! Some stuff like iconography is gonna change, but I really like the direction so far.

A lot of you seem to like the movie “Hardware” so here is some artwork from my lovely pal Graham Humphreys who storyboarded/designed a lot of the film and its iconography (see also “Dust Devil” and “The Island of Dr Moreau.”)
@ScarletMature It doesn't have to go that far. Design the armor to have the shapes and bits needed to be practical sci fi armor, but give it a paint job, accessories and iconography to separate the grunts from their leaders. Examples from Warhammer 40k
I’m thrown off by character limits since I like sharing the turmoil that is my inner monologue dissecting why art & critical engagement with art and theatre history matters. Also I’ve really be into talking about queerness and queer iconography! That takes a lot of words!
@KottkrigArt What if their new iconography /was/ based around stained glass, in the shape of a coffin?
Butt of spider is skull, there can be different little coloured glass sections for displaying alchemy vials and other things we associate with our deaders
And this afternoon one of my friends took me to see Cybele-by-the-Tiber. I especially loved the urban-grit iconography of her mural crown (echoing the gazometro environs). #Rome

I made some Link avatars based on the og #TheLegendOfZelda for og Nintendo. Fun fact: Link originally had a cross shield in the early games before Nintendo banned religious iconography.
Commissioned from the lovely @Cuchabra - Angel Greg and Demon Myc, tarot-card style! (No actual tarot iconography referenced, as far as I am aware - just pretty drawings!)
Go support Sabela's Ko-Fi and you can get pretty things too!

New twitter (and soon youtube) avatar up, thanks to @cyangmou. It's a recreation of one of the Priest-Kings of Uruk, who appear in iconography there during the 4th millennium BCE.
@Freud_of_Jung @hemantsarin @DalrympleWill @ChroniclesClio @BL_VisualArts @V_and_A @britishmuseum @bengalhf @doubledolphin @ArchaeoNomad @Freud_of_Jung Looking at other Sadbhuja images, the standard iconography seems to be the mendicant's staff and water-pot. Bhaskar has replaced the water-pot with the jhuli containing japer mala which does make more sense for a Vaishnav devotee. I will ask him!
How would I describe @quadkorps's #RedNight, a novel #TTRPG we're testing out #Thursdays on #Dieselshot?
"A Red-Lodgy, Madoka-Magica-esque world grounded in 1960s psychology & Catholic-sexual-repression inspired fetishistic iconography w/ Vore-based TF gameplay! It's perfect."
So, since I realized I'd probably end up having to use the tattoos a lot... I finally broke down and made a larger file of them, so I could make a larger reference image of where all his are located. I had to edit the larger one on his back to match the WW iconography.
'In Christian iconography, episodes described in 1 Kings 17:1–7 and 1 Kings 19:4–14 frequently merge into one, and are adapted to suit the time and place in which they are painted, as is illustrated by the three paintings'

Coco-chan, the mascot of Toyokawa City’s shopping district, has a white fox hat and hair like a fox tail, based on iconography from the local temple.
Link + iconography. I just wanted to draw him in an olive branch wreath and a classic biblical halo, haha :) Initial sketch is on the right!
