Don't be afraid to try something out of your norm. Not everything you create is going to be amazing every single time, But you will always learn from it. Fear creates constraints and who knows what valuable learning opportunities you may be isolating yourself from.

I guess using "soft light" mode(1st) and the background color gives more color variation than "multiply" mode(2nd) and background color

Fun fact, I like using the fibonacci spiral (golden ratio) to create quick compositions and to help me make the best use of space. There are a bunch more composition guides out there so check em out =D
