It’s staggering how much has moved away from the 5e compatible ruleset it started out as. It’s daunting building mechanics from the ground up, but I believe it’s worth the time and effort. I now have the Belief System which will be used in all Hatchlings Games.

For proving to myself the daunting emptiness of a bigger canvas can be overcame, and the end result not look nearly as bad as I feared. I know it's not perfect, I can't help but see the elements not really meshing as well as they could, but I like it nonetheless.
