Was hesitant to check out Voltron: Legendary Defender because I thought it was aimed at the demographic below me age-wise, but I was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed it. Don’t let that Y-7 rating fool you 😆 Had to draw my boy Keith~

Just because a show is on a network whose target demographic is children, doesn't mean teens and adults can't watch and enjoy it.

In fact, many of the most well-written, thought-provoking shows (whether they be funny or heartbreaking) I've ever seen on TV were animated.

Good stories are good, regardless of who the target demographic is. Animation can be a vehicle for imagination.

Stories have target demographics, yes, but it's silly to assume DC doesn't hope as many people as possible read this book. LGBTQ or S, young or not. There are also plenty of comics doing a better job of telling stories about LGBTQ youth. They deserve better.
