Book of the New Sun's bestiary is a strange one, drawing from prehistoric biology, mythology and folklore.

This is the Alzabo-- if you've read BotNS, those familiar with Annihilation (2018) will know where the idea of the Bear-creature truly comes from.

These three goddesses represent the cycle of life and fertility.

Moonbeams Dipping Into the Sea by Evelyn de Morgan (1855-1919) shows how these three women are the personification of the moon and dusk, according to an ancient lore.

27. Kappa ◇

Process: Kappa are creatures belonging to Japanese folklore. They live in water & abduct children & act mischievously. They possess a dish on their head that holds water, and they love cucumbers! (Peep the lil friend in the back)

The bonus thing in our licence deal with was the possibility to work on the present day and add more content to our lore. In the expansion Tokyo XXI, jump ahead to the modern days and play with 4 Assassins to solve a mystery from the main campaign.

No choice, hmm, okay! uwu
These are (some of) my orc boys😊
They are my characters while playing WoW, but they also have an alternative story in my lore.

1- Ji'sh (monk)
2- Dran (hunter, ex-shaman)
3- Kirh (war)
4- Kirh_DK (death knight, design from my lore)

Hair finally free, she is no longer bound to the earth. She is out for blood🩸

I decided to draw a vampire with a strong influence from the idea of the Estries, essentially vampires of Jewish folklore. In the Sefer Hasidim it says they can fly if their hair isn't tied back.

🍂They called him, The Mothman.🍂

Last week's prompt was Folklore. After a long brainstorming session, decided to go with "The Mothman". In my head this could've been the man before the legend we all know today.

On that last note, I think each series' new forms do a good job illustrating my point.

SS4's debut was a bit ham-fisted, it was used poorly post-Baby, and you may not like its look... but there's no denying it's a very unique design, and brilliant in terms of concept and lore.

Black Dogs are harbingers of death in folklore. The demonic dog roaming Cannock Chase, also known as the ‘ghost dog of Brereton,’ has been seen stalking the roads leading to Brereton. It has been described as large, black with sharp pointed ears & glowing eyes.
