LASTLY, What was kept through both designs are these golden bands. There's 12 bands total, 3 covering each arm and leg.
Plot-wise these bands are strength-enhancing demonic artifacts, Jun got her hands on them when she was 13, and are cursed to her body and can't be removed

These 2 for me. The games themselves are not that amazing imo and really needed a Pokemon Z to fill in plot holes & improve the Gen but they still did do a ton of things for Pokemon by bringing the series to 3D, adding mega evolutions, character customization, fairy type, etc.
