1978年生まれのEMU100型電車。英国のブリティッシュ・レール・エンジニアリング会社製造、台湾初めての電車で特急列車の自強号として運用されていました。導入当初はコリ◯ックマみたいな色をしていますが、1981年の事故以来、フクロウ顔という警戒色が塗られました。気品があるイギリス・レディ。
