Happy #FairyTaleTuesday!!! This week on the #podcast we're focused more on the #folklore side of things, but the first #tale has a young apprentice getting painted as a fool and is definitely a great start to the week.

So many different images of #Cinderella have appeared over time. This one is by the artist(s) Safir Rifas. I love the dark fairy tale atmosphere of this. Titled: Cinderella: Black and White.

An unloved girl put on her cloak & went to the river. She waded into the icy water, but was tugged back by a wolf, who told her to live. He found her strong medicine, rooms with a kind family, hearty food & the deep constancy of love from a dying old wolf. #FairyTaleTuesday

Little Red Riding Hood was a fave tale of mine growing up because Little Red was a relatable kid heroine who wasn't a princess, the most beautiful or smartest, and didn't always listen to her mother. I loved my LRRH books growing up!

#FairyTaleTuesday Perrault's early Red Riding Hood tale had a warning attached, advising well brought-up young ladies not to dally with dangerous beasts, lest they be swayed by the charms of a wolf in disguise.
