Process for page 17, this one took a while. I redid the perspective for the Hellflower after the initial sketch, using a model of an SR-71 to help.
Anyways, if you want to know how I get these effects, the answer is loads of layers. I counted 60 visible layers for this page.

Usually I just make big squares around the character and a perspective grid, cuz that's enough to get a sense of perspective for me, but making square shapes for the character makes me lose a lot of the organic feeling.
