Some examples of the finished BGs by and myself.
It was a 4 minute film with about 30 scenes overall, with some reuse/relighting for later in the day, so each scene was pretty long. Because of this it was very important for the environments to be interesting 🙏

Virtual XP is actually amazingly easy to work, so long as you don't need hardware 3D graphics. VirtualBox is free, and it's used in server environments, so it's rock-solid. So then you just need a WinXP ISO (or disc) and a valid activation key. 👍 These pics are from VirtualBox:

I’ve been enjoying the Pathless, it’s a nice chill exploration game with pretty environments and enough stakes and puzzle solving to keep it interesting. Kentucky Route Zero’s great if you feel like crying a lot (you might not cry, I cried a lot hahaha)
