I was asked about my approach to shading, and thought I could as well share it - this is the shading layer or a piece I'm still working on. I shade using various textured brushes in big sizes. The thought is that the form should be understood even without lineart.

I did it! I taught myself basic 3D in January and modelled/textured a scene that I can render almost any angle from that I need -while convincingly matching the already drawn 2D backgrounds!

This was supposed to SAVE me time and actually took way longer, but oh well.
