My first-ever palaeoart illustration appeared in paper today! The paper by V. Baranov looked at Gedanoleria fly larvae locked in Baltic amber. Here is my reconstruction of the flies, maggots and things they fed on.
I can call myself a "professional" palaeoartist now.
Monika’s tip of the day~
The path to achieve your dreams is always under construction until you get there. Just remember that it takes hard work to build something. And even the most hardest, painful, and obstacle ridden paths. Can lead the the most wondrous and beautiful places~
@MartinB_Archaeo @archaeoart @fen_ken @MatthewPope @Sarah_May1 @DavidPetts1 Wish we had the money for reconstruction art (!) but, if it helps, the artists who have recently caught our eye include (in no particular order)

@FuyiArts What I did for my lineless art was actually akin to how you make stuff out of construction paper
It's a weird process but like, basically you just fuse a bunch of limbs together to make your character
My spaceships may look like they're not designed for practicality...but then, neither is space.
Anyway, that's my pitch for construction funding, European Space Agency.
Today in Horror, we are celebrating the 47th anniversary of the Clint Walker-starring adaptation of Theodore Sturgeon's 1944 novella KILLDOZER! centered on a small construction crew terrorized by a spirit-like being taking over a large bulldozer that goes on a killing rampage.
Day 14: I have moved into four fold symmetry. I found this design weirdly pleasing. It’s not like some of my other pieces. I have hidden a few construction lines for neatness sake.
I think this one makes a good #howmany picture...

Meet Skathári! Or Ska/Skath! He's a construction worker Hercules Beetle/European Hornet hybrid!! Thanks to @/MDeltaBlood for drawing him to life! ;w;
While the design is inspired by the Brian Engh reconstruction, I tried my best to ensure that it isn't a complete clone. Due to this, I made the keratin sheathe of the crest rounder and smoother, and made the body black with white countershading and striping.
#DarwinDay and #FossilFriday so it's gotta be the ground sloth Mylodon darwinii, brought back by Chuck from South America and named for him by ghastly old Richard Owen in 1840.
