I am just now discovering that Jae Lee did the art on a Transformers/GI Joe mini set in WW2.
To say I need it would be an understatement.

🧵Some ideas for Indiana Jones plots and McGuffens, they'd either have to be a video game or should've been Indy 4 if it was made in the 90s: Imperial Japan is trying to find the Sessho-seki (the real one having been hidden) to free & control Tamamo-no-mae to help win WW2.
During WW2 Soviets tested in their aircraft a bomb compartment that instead utilized 88 PPSH's with 71 round drum mags each to be shot down on infantry.
Was rewarching this 80's anime set during WW2 where one of the stories is about American and Japanese pilots in the Pacific
The Americans were lamenting the loss of another pilot who wanted to be a cartoonist and were sharing his drawings, I just noticed that's Lucky Luke 😆

@that_minotaur @AGramuglia They were, but kids were making their own zines long before the end of ww2, around the 1800's.
They ranged from the cheap Akahon (red books) to the more expensive hard cover collections.
It was Post-WW2 that there was a boom because JP was so entertainment deprived.
