現在の長野県信濃町柏原に生まれた俳諧師の小林一茶が亡くなったのが1828年のこの日。
14歳で江戸へ奉公に出て俳諧を学んだ一茶は｢雀の子 そこのけそこのけ お馬が通る｣や｢やせ蛙 まけるな一茶 これにあり｣など約22000の句を生み出しました。
