Starting the last full week of sketches with this one from the banks of the small streams that flow through the Dark Woods. It preys on the birds and amphibians that are drawn there by cold, clear water running off the nearby slopes of Garn Wen.

Today is and pictured is the North American river otter. This playful species are excellent swimmers, using their powerful tails and webbed feet to propel them through the water. They eat a variety of food including fish, amphibians, crayfish and event turtles.
