Coloring provided some fun challenges. Mercutio is a silver dragon. He's got rough scaly skin. How do I show that on a 128px canvas and limited colors? Easy, DITHERING! It had the mutual benefit of giving Mercy here a rougher texture while also leading to a nicer shade of colors

Thank you!! No, it's an older digital painting of mine, did the dithering through Photoshop. Using 5 colours for these crops!
this is a crop of the original👀👀

CRT test on my third fake doom title screen, this time featuring Dusk.
Since I didn't use much dithering in this one the result isn't as striking.
I like this dusk dude but the background could use some touchups.

Thanks to for the CRT filter.

Here are closeups of Robin for reference. The dithering effect was intended to blend colors much like watercolor paints. https://t.co/0XKdomy7WV

I messed around with an online dithering tool I found a little while back and this was the result! I personally think the compressed appearance is nothing short of striking!

I was gonna post a screenshot of armor for Nightdrift but I also did this which I thought was neet so

Fixed some issues like block of light on face and removed the dithering on left leg

you can also use bayer dithering instead of the pixelate function and that will often get that kinda pc98 look, but remembering to use dithering either way is huge
