Personality-wise he was inspired by Dick Powell, musical actor of the 1930s. Go and watch some of his musical numbers like "Only Have Eyes for You" and "Dames".

Visually he was inspired by Don Karnage from TaleSpin.

A comic I drew for the new magazine was just published! It was about Sidney and Phoebe Rigdon. It was super fun to work from photo reference from the 1800’s. Thanks to Jeanette P. Andrews for the art direction and Emily Joy Powell for the story.
