The point is not that you like both, the point being made is thst we need to push less for Dinosaurs portrayed always as monsters and killing machines, and embrace more of the uniqueness of their actual lives. Primitive War is a great example of this and so is Prehistoric Planet.

during the 30 years Liz was recked on an alien planet she lost her right arm, the loss of it dosnet affect her too much, especially because the primitive alien tools her new found pal Mea has only require one arm (as his race only has one arm inside their mouths used as hands)

The paintings are in a colorful neo-primitive style, and add to the attractiveness of the book, even if they don't interact with the text as one would hope. (And Carrion's nightmare fluid is blue, dammit, not orange!)
