I almost forgot to post this on Twitter! This is the full spritesheet for the Gina/Shoelace replacement mod for Indie Pogo. Penelope had 104 sprites in total if I recall correctly? Her asymmetrical design also came in handy for keeping Gina's right-sided hair spikes in place!

it's working! it loaded a map from the self-contained format with a nonstandard spritesheet and correctly applied all the correct embedded palettes.

i'm going to spend the next little while fixing minor bugs and building out area sketches for my next game.

fun fact though, the game was almost considered for a US release at one point with "localized" graphics as well. There's a near-complete spritesheet in the game's code that swaps out eggman with the robotnik design from the SatAM cartoon
