@FearVisor I am not great either. But from my personal experience, create an additional layer (overlay blend) with the opacity of ~75% and set the highlights with the help of your light source preference, overlay blend will make colors of your drawing react to light source properly. (1/2)
My generative project 'Quattuor' is available on #fxhash, project #13415
The logic of such structures is based on bitwise operations. Shapes are drawn using dots with low opacity
It was free of charge today, 200ed. All collectors of my previous drop are in AL

@CapnBootz @BreeBreeArt OH YESSSSSS that’s so specific but it hits right. Like I liek to hide characters in shadows to really get a good glow effect. So hitting the right opacity is GODLY
I talked about wanting to do 14 fanarts and I started them today. I fell asleep at the laptop last night💀. But, 7 down, 7 left to go. Opacity is too low I'm sorry But I am sleepy. need nap

monochrome practice
mostly done with digital atelier oil blocking 63% opacity with detail in 73%, which is more for me when i forget how i did this
@blackcatgirlz fr tho i usually have to take into account what kind of hair texture am i giving them and then block it out with a solid color and change the layer to multiply then set the opacity lower
holy shit yall i just spent like 10 minutes looking for the brush opacity setting on csp

This rendition of my Azuki highlighted to me an interesting approach to the “spirit” aspect—a depiction full of opacity rather than transparency, and I thought it worked out well! The combination of line art & gradients made for a wonderful derivative ^o^

It's almost here!!!
Here is my original scribble ideas and my 3 layers I contributed to this collab with @TheGuild_NFT & @artemeta_(these are the full size, opacity and saturation versions I created). These become ethereal in the main piece.
Bring on May 17 😁👍🔥🔥🔥 https://t.co/XRGRcaWkNc
I only recently learned about the 0% opacity inverted clipping mask in Live2D, but my V2.0 will 100% rely on it. It looks like a mess right now, but it'll all make sense in the end when all the masks are applied and the layer orders sorted more precisely.
reposting because ed's skin ended up too light with that low opacity watercolor look, sorry about that. took this opportunity to add more sleepover content though #OurFlagMeansDeath
Just realized if you copy your art onto another layer, blur the shit out of it, lower opacity and turn the mode to hard light or lighter colour, you can get a quick kinda hazy vaseline-on-lens look.
rkgk to cope with my lack of time management tiredness and unattended assignments.
women with uncanny guns, a variety study with fashion, on low opacity pencil
@ElRhymesWithHel It makes a big difference imo. Here's it without (left) and with (right) for comparison. All I did was draw a bunch of messy hatched lines on a clipping overlay layer and dropped the opacity to 30% so it was pretty simple! Curious to see if the same thing will work on the shirt.
i like clearagumon because he's just a copy of another guy at 80% opacity but he's a completely separate monster with different evolutions
after I've converted it to a movie clip symbol and put it behind the TV layer, I blurred it a little bit, used the Overlay blend, and lowered the opacity/alpha bit a tiny bit
@DerpSeaFish I made one layer with the base color of the tone I wanted and reduced opacity a little, then on top I added a color dodge layer with the same shape, blurred with the same color but more saturated so it wouldnt just look white.
